LECTURE
In the first lecture, Mr. Shamsul and Mr. Lun went through the basics of the class such as the M.I.B, the server we are to use to upload all of our codes, so on and so forth.

We then went over on what is a website?:

Its a web document that’s developed using html & css, for making the website dynamic or static, it could be one or more pages. There has to be an intended purpose, for an intended target audience. Otherwise, it’s meaningless. Usually we end to put everything without having to identify which is important and not which is incorrect. We always have to figure out the purpose as well as the Call To Action in each web page that we are to design. And each site, has to have its intended or target audience in mind before proceeding.

Example :
Netflix = Purpose?
Convert them to a registered purpose or take action, and
Target Audience : Job holders, University students

There are also different types of website :
Static  : TUMBLR. Constant, html, css
Dynamic : TIMES. Site that is constantly changing in content, news content, very personalised to targeted audience. User, can update the content. Technology used: Server sites php, database such as.esp, JAVA which provides security.

Each of these websites are catered to different an audience.

INSTRUCTION

We were then required to do some research on the 9 major types of websites. We are to find its intended purpose as well as the target audience. The types of websites are :

1. Informational

2. Corporate
3. Portfolio
4. E-Commerce
5. Entertainment
6. Education
7. Brochure
8. Non-Profit
9. Personal
