INSTRUCTIONS

BRAND GUIDE E-BOOK

For the final project, we were tasked a singular project for two modules combining the application of layout design from the module of Publishing Design as well as the compilation of a comprehensive brand book from the module of Brand Corporate Identity.

Here are a few references for our perusal:

Using the example of the University as my primary reference, below is the attempts of the brand guide for Bare, the brainchild of mine.

Here. is my first attempt of the brand guide, only till the section of the Logo.

After getting the feedback for Logo Section of the brand book, I decided to complete the whole brand guide following the similar format.

FEEDBACK

Week 11
Specific Feedback
1. My contents are alright, I do not need to go so in-depth. Some things are unnecessary such as Complimentary Colors, and Color Usage. I can remove those.
2. We've to complete the brand book by next week.
3. I have to figure out a way to override the MasterPage elements.
General Feedback
1. Brandbook should at least be done until the Logo Section.

REFLECTION

Experience
Again, having continued from the Week, I genuinely appreciate Mr. Vinod's guidance and gentle nudge when we get out of line in terms of quality. It has been really hard to be motivated especially without much classmates presence or feedback. It's sort of just you and the laptop and it can get really uninspiring and tiring after long periods of time of work.

Observation
A brand book is actually extremely essential, and as I am doing the brand guidelines, I realise how much of research goes into building a brand. How much of effort. It is not a simple task, brand identity.

Findings
When feeling uninspired music is the best way to go about. Instagram, Pinterest and other mediums of social media such as Behance is also a good platform to view other designers' work, analyse and learn form them. Also, it is important to distinguish good and bad design.
