REFLECTION

Experience
Typography has been on of the most FUN modules I have had. Coming into class, I was a nervous wreck ball as I thought the class was going to be a living hell but it was a very knowledgeable class as I learnt ALOT about typography. There has been many many ups and downs in this module especially in terms of personal growth learning to be a designer where I felt like I may not make it, but this entire process of doing the projects it has only reconfirmed and remembered "WHY" I decided to become a designer in the first place. Working with like-minded people and being able to learn from my classmates has actually taught me a lot interns of work ethics as well as design. I really enjoyed this class and look forward to learning more.

Observation
1. I remember clearly entering the first class with super high motivation, zeal a classic 'freshman vibes' but I feel like through out the course, it sort of just melted away or at least my motivation suffered deeply. The question is, I don't know why? Or even at times how to revamp my motivation back. Speaking to some of my seniors, they shared the same sort of issue that I faced. Though I realise that it is extremely important to be intrinsically motivated as there probably isn't going to be anyone doing that for us in the real world , sometimes we may need some little whip, or push from the lecturers.

Suggestion to the awesome lecturers: You could perhaps share some little nuggets of advice/ motivation to help us along the way maybe in Facebook or just some lectures as I recall being very much driven after Mr. Vinod sometimes gives his pep talk.

2. I find my work being very inconsistent as in how I did well for my Project 1 but I feel like I kind of deteriorated in the following projects or it didn't live up to par. I am not quite sure why but I think it could be due to my health issues as well as poor time management.

Findings
I found that there are certain tips and tricks into getting feedbacks from the lecturers. Though it may be hard to catch them in class or get proper in-depth feedback as they have to cover SO MANY PEOPLE, (the class was huge), I recently found out that there is a loophole.

1. Find the timetable of Mr. Vinod and Mr. Shamsul (which class are they having , when and where, they are usually in the Typography Classrooms)
2. Meet them personally and ask for feedback !!!

So simple, yet I just found out that taking time off our schedule to actually go and meet the lecturers really pays off as I managed to get really in-depth feedback from them. The commitment and effort that we put in will always always be reciprocated by our teachers. Thank you, Mr. Vinod and Shamsul for teaching us always. You guys are the best!!!
